Is the Bible Corrupted?
To understand better, I encourage you to first read this: What is the Bible?
God is faithful and trustworthy. This means we can trust Him when He speaks.
God said in the Bible:
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. (Matthew 24:35)
and…
For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. For, “All people are like grass,
and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of the Lord endures forever.” (1 Peter 1:23-25)
and…
Your word, Lord, is eternal;
it stands firm in the heavens.
Your faithfulness continues through all generations. (Psalm 119:89-90)
and…
He is the Rock, his works are perfect,
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong,
upright and just is he. (Deuteronomy 32:4)
As you can see, the Bible teaches us clearly that
1) God is faithful, and
2) God’s Word remains forever.
God WANTS you to read His word. But there is someone who doesn’t want us to read God’s word: Satan. Satan’s main job is to lie and deceive people into not trusting God. Many people in Morocco and around the world have listened to Satan’s lies and think God’s word is not trustworthy or that God’s word has been corrupted. Will you listen to God, or Satan?
From historical evidences, we also know we can trust in the Bible. There are over 20,000 ancient manuscripts of parts of the Bible in existence today. Complete Bibles exist that were written at about 350AD! We can go to museums today and see these Bibles and manuscripts with our own eyes, and see that the message of the Bible has remains unchanged this whole time.
The Bible was originally written mostly in two languages: Hebrew and Greek. Today, the Bible has been translated into about 700 languages, and the New Testament has been translated into more than 1500 languages. Some people get confused about this as say each translation is a corruption. No. God speaks all languages and protects his Word. The message remains the same. In Morocco the Bible has even been translated into Moroccan Derija, Arabic, French, Tachlyhayt, Rifi, Tamazigh, and other dialects! God speaks your language!
